Silhouette Promotes Kristin Kunkel to Head of Key Accounts, E-Commerce and Training

GREEN ISLAND, N.Y.—Silhouette has announced the promotion of Kristin Kunkel to head of key accounts, e-commerce and training. Kunkel began working at Silhouette in 2021 as head of U.S. key accounts and e-commerce, the company said. In this new role, she will oversee the development and execution of strategies across key accounts, along with the creation of comprehensive training programs to enhance the experience between Silhouette and optical professionals and retailer partners in the U.S., the announcement said.

With Kristin’s vision and leadership, our training program is in excellent hands, and I’m confident it will further enhance the expertise and value Silhouette provides to all our accounts.”

 

In her time at Silhouette so far, Kunkel has overseen national eyewear partner and multi-door accounts, department stores and e-commerce sites, as well as launching Silhouette’s Click & Collect initiative in the United States, the company said. Prior to joining Silhouette, she was senior group manager, luxury client group at luxury consignment platform The Real Real, where she focused on bringing in new business and supply. Before joining The Real Real, Kunkel spent over 10 years at Oliver Peoples Eyewear, and was promoted during her tenure there to senior sales director.

Kunkel is also a member of The Vision Council, and serves on the Optical Women’s Association’s marketing committee.
