Reports: Thunder trade Ousmane Dieng

Dieng was selected by the Thunder with the 11th pick in 2022 and has appeared in 136 games across four seasons in OKC.

The defending champion Oklahoma City Thunder received center Mason Plumlee from the Charlotte Hornets in exchange for forward Ousmane Dieng, who was rerouted by Charlotte to the Chicago Bulls, according to multiple reports.

Dieng was never able to fully find a solid footing in the Thunder’s rotation since being selected 11th overall in the 2022 NBA Draft. He’s appeared in less than 40 games in each of his four seasons and holds career averages of 4.2 points, 2.1 rebounds and 1.0 assists per game over the course of 136 appearances in four seasons with OKC.

Plumlee was used sparingly by Charlotte after signing with them as a free agent in July 2025 — his second stint with the team. The 13-year veteran was averaging career-lows 1.6 points and 8.8 minutes per game in 14 appearances before being sidelined by a groin surgery in December.

Charlotte will also receive a 2029 second-round pick from OKC as part of the deal.
