The Boston Red Sox haven’t signed many free agents this offseason, but they continue to be very active in the trade market.
The Red Sox are acquiring third baseman Caleb Durbin in a trade with the Milwaukee Brewers, ESPN’s Jeff Passan reported Monday. Boston is sending young left-hander Kyle Harrison, infielder David Hamilton and left-hander Shane Drohan to Milwaukee in the deal, per Passan.
Here are the full terms of the deal, with additional reporting from The Athletic’s Will Sammon:
- Red Sox receive: 3B Caleb Durbin, minor league INF Andruw Monasterio, minor league INF Anthony Seigler, Comp B draft pick
- Brewers receive: LHP Kyle Harrison, INF David Hamilton, LHP Shane Drohan
The 25-year-old made his major league debut in mid-April of last season. He posted a .256 batting average with 11 home runs, 53 RBI and a .721 OPS over 136 games for the Brewers while finishing third in National League Rookie of the Year voting.
