Paul, Weiss, Rifkind, Wharton & Garrison announced a significant expansion of its Finance Group with the addition of Nicholas Schwartz, Mark Adler, and Julie Ann Lamm as partners in the Corporate Department, all based in New York. Schwartz will join before the year’s end, while Adler and Lamm have already begun their transition.

The three lawyers advise corporate borrowers, private equity sponsors, and portfolio companies on complex debt and leveraged finance matters, widening the firm’s capabilities across the full spectrum of financing transactions.

The move brings significant experience in syndicated and private financings, recurring revenue facilities, cross-border transactions, and both in-court and out-of-court restructurings. Schwartz, who previously co-led the leveraged finance practice at his former firm, is known for his work in acquisition and non-acquisition leveraged finance, liability management, capital structure transactions, and restructuring-related financings. Adler brings broad expertise representing private equity sponsors, public companies, portfolio companies, and alternative capital providers in acquisition financings, recapitalizations, special situations, and restructuring matters. Lamm expands the group’s leveraged finance bench, focusing on acquisition financings, recapitalizations, and tailored solutions for distressed situations.

The firm said the additions strengthen one of the industry’s most active finance practices at a time of heightened market demand for sophisticated financing solutions. The global Finance Group advises borrowers, lenders, and investors across complex financing instruments, including syndicated and leveraged deals and private credit arrangements.
