NBA trade deadline 2026 live updates: Giannis Antetokounmpo rumors, potential moves, news and analysis

SAN FRANCISCO — Golden State Warriors forward Draymond Green said he isn’t losing sleep over the fact that his name has surfaced in trade speculation in recent days.

“I’ve been here for 14 years,” Green said. “I have no reason to sit and worry about leaving. But if I’m traded, that’s part of the business, so it is what it is. I ain’t losing no sleep though. I slept great last night. Incredible. I’ve slept longer than I’ve slept in a long time — so sleeping good.”

As rumors continue to link the Warriors to Milwaukee Bucks star Giannis Antetokounmpo and the Warriors, Green’s name has repeatedly come up as a possibility given his salary of almost $26 million this season and a player option for next season worth nearly $28 million. To make any deal for Antetokounmpo work financially, either Green’s or Jimmy Butler’s cap slot would have to be included.

Green, who told The Athletic before Butler’s torn ACL that he was confident any decision about the Warriors’ future would be made in collaboration with star Stephen Curry, general manager Mike Dunleavy and the rest of the organization’s braintrust, said he had no plans to force the issue with the front office.

“I’m not gonna go up there and be like, ‘Yo, so tell me what y’all doing,’ ” Green said. “I’m the same as I always am. My phone’s always on. I’m always willing to collaborate in any way I can, and we’ll see.”
