Memphis Grizzlies star point guard Ja Morant has bought a home in Miami, according to Miami-Dade County property records.

Records show that, on Dec. 23, 2025, Morant was listed as an executor of a trust that purchased a $3.2 million home. The purchase came more than two weeks before sources confirmed that the Grizzlies were considering trading Morant.

The Commercial Appeal will not be listing the property address for safety reasons, but the home is approximately four miles, or about a 20-minute drive, from the arena where the Miami Heat play.

The property is considerably smaller than the two mansions currently owned by Morant in Eads. Shelby County property records show Morant still owns both of those Eads homes through the trust he used to purchase them.

Morant’s camp did not respond to requests for comment by the time of publication. Morant is currently in Berlin with the Grizzlies on a two-game trip in Europe and will face the Orlando Magic on Jan. 15.

Morant’s trust first bought a mansion in Eads for approximately $1.3 million in 2019. Aaron B. Flinn was the attorney and executor of the trust he used to purchase that home. Three years later, in 2022, the trust bought another neighboring home for just over $3 million from former Memphis Grizzlies player Kyle Anderson.

Flinn was the executor of the trust for that purchase as well.

The property purchased by Morant in Miami, though through a different trust, lists both Morant and Flinn as executors.

In recent days, the Miami Heat joined the list of teams Morant could land with. The Milwaukee Bucks and Sacramento Kings also reportedly have shown interest in acquiring Morant.

Morant is in his seventh season with the Grizzlies. Since joining the team, he has won NBA Rookie of the Year, Most Improved Player of the year, and is a two-time NBA All-Star. Suspensions and injuries in recent seasons have limited his time on the basketball court, however.

His contract has two years left, with about $87 million to be paid to Morant during that time.
