Milwaukee Bucks’ Giannis Antetokounmpo speaks on reinjuring his calf
Milwaukee Bucks star Giannis Antetokounmpo speaks on reinjuring his calf against the Denver Nuggets on Jan. 23, 2025.
As the NBA trade deadline approaches on Feb. 5, the Milwaukee Bucks find themselves fading out of the postseason picture entirely. After games played Jan. 25, the Bucks were 2.5 games behind the Atlanta Hawks for the final spot in the Eastern Conference play-in round.
Complicating matters for the Bucks is the strained right calf injury for Giannis Antetokounmpo, who is expected to be out indefinitely, according to head coach Doc Rivers. It is the second time this season Antetokounmpo has strained his calf, and it could be several weeks before he returns to the court.
With a little more than a week before the trade deadline, should the Bucks make a move to try and improve their roster? Do they need to shake-up their roster at all? And what about Giannis? The 31-year-old former MVP has not requested a trade and has continually acknowledged his commitment to the franchise, but should the Bucks listen to offers?
