Laura Foltz, special assistant to the vice chancellor for finance and administration for strategic initiatives at the University of Tennessee at Martin, has been named Murray State’s new vice president of finance. She will assume the role on Jan. 26.
Her appointment was announced in a press release shared by President Ron Patterson in a campus-wide email. Along with her contract to be approved by the Board of Regents, the email also said Foltz has provided UT Martin with executive leadership in campus-wide fiscal initiatives and enterprise modernization.
Patterson said Foltz is expected to serve Murray State well, and Foltz said she’s honored to become Murray State’s new vice president of finance.
“As a first-generation college graduate, I am passionate about how education changes lives and look forward to joining the Racer Family and working alongside the dedicated faculty and staff to steward the University’s resources in support of students and a strong future for Murray State University. Go Racers!”
Foltz will be replacing Jackie Dudley, who has been named interim CFO at Eastern Kentucky University.
