Take a drive in the new 2025 Ford Expedition King Ranch
The Courier Journal took a test drive in the all new 2025 Ford Expedition King Ranch. Here’s what we thought.
- An Atlanta-based e-commerce company will invest over $40 million to expand its northern Kentucky warehouse operations.
- The investment includes upgrading an existing warehouse and adding a new 525,000-square-foot facility in Hebron.
- This expansion is expected to create over 500 jobs with an average hourly wage target of just over $32.
An Atlanta-based e-commerce fulfillment and software company announced Dec. 18 it would invest just over $40 million to grow a northern Kentucky warehouse operation.
Stord’s investment, over the next five to 10 years, will help upgrade an existing warehouse in Hebron, Kentucky, with automation and AI-capable technologies, including proprietary systems for warehouse and transportation management.
It will also add a 525,000-square-foot warehouse, at 1405 Worldwide Blvd., with 49 dock doors to the company’s Kentucky operations.
The venture, located near Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky International Airport and multiple interstates, is expected to create over 500 jobs.
Stord acquired a 640,000-square-foot fulfillment center at 1200 Worldwide Blvd., formerly used by Pitney Bowes for e-commerce needs, last year. Three hundred employees were retained as part of the acquisition, according to Stord.
“Since the acquisition, the Hebron node has evolved into a cornerstone of Stord’s worldwide fulfillment network,” the company said in the Dec. 18 release. “This center and local team has been instrumental in facilitating commerce for top brands and powering over $10 billion in annual Gross Merchandise Value network-wide.”
Sean Henry, CEO and co-founder of Stord, said the business has “deeply enjoyed our existing operations in Hebron” with an eye toward the expansion over the next decade.
At its December meeting, the Kentucky Economic Development Finance Authority gave preliminary approval for $2.3 million in tax incentives tied to a job target of 539 employees and an average hourly wage target of just over $32. The company, founded in 2015, has facilities across the U.S., Canada and Europe. Its services span from pre-purchase to checkout to delivery to returns.
