Las Vegas Raiders star defensive end Maxx Crosby has been the subject of trade conversations. Now, various writers are putting together hypothetical trade packages for the defensive stalwart.
The New England Patriots were featured in a list posted by Bleacher Report earlier this week. Bleacher Report’s Moe Moton had the Patriots giving up a 2026 first-round draft pick, 2027 first-round pick and guard Mike Onwenu in exchange for Crosby.
From the Patriots’ perspective, Crosby would fill their need for an edge rusher and give them another impact player along a talented defensive front. Crosby, a five-time Pro Bowler and two-time Second-Team All-Pro, had 10.5 sacks last season.
Moton looked at it from the Raiders’ perspective as well, and here’s how he believes a hypothetical trade would fit for Las Vegas:
“From the Raiders’ perspective, guard Mike Onwenu would serve as an interior pass-protector for presumptive No. 1 pick, Fernando Mendoza and fill a need with guard Dylan Parham and interior offensive lineman Jordan Meredith headed for free agency.”
The asking price is incredibly high for one player.
But that being said, Crosby is one of the best pass-rushers in the NFL today. It’s a case where the Patriots are going to need to give up a lot to get an impact player. Crosby has reportedly previously stated that he wants to play for coach Mike Vrabel, so this could be a strong match after all.
