DHL eCommerce has announced a partnership with the Georgia Institute of Technology’s H. Milton Stewart School of Industrial and Systems Engineering (ISyE), aimed at strengthening ties between the school’s academic research and the company’s day-to-day logistics operations.

Under the agreement, DHL eCommerce will work closely with the school on recruiting and talent development, which will include participation in on-campus career fairs and ISyE Advisory Board meetings. The partnership is intended to create a pathway for students to move from classroom learning into full-time roles within DHL’s operations, with four soon-to-graduate industrial engineering students already slated to join the DHL eCommerce’s team in the summer of 2026. The company will also sponsor a senior-level student team that will spend the academic year tackling real-world engineering challenges impacting DHL’s operations.

“This partnership accelerates the integration of high-level engineering talent into our technical operations,” said DHL eCommerce senior director of operations engineering Mehmet Gur. “Collaborating with Georgia Tech allows us to apply new analytical perspectives to our network, ensuring our operations remain competitive.”

DHL eCommerce first started collaborating with Georgia Tech in January 2025, when the company worked with seniors on a design project focused on a large package rack system prototype, and a planning tool to help with decision-making for package lifecycles.
