The New York Knicks’ attempt to acquire a San Antonio Spurs forward has failed.
According to NBA insider Michael Scotto of HoopsHype, the Spurs rejected the Knicks’ proposed trade package of Guerschon Yabusele and Pacome Dadiet for Jeremy Sochan.
Reportedly, the reason the Spurs did not accept the deal was the Knicks’ unwillingness to take on Yabusele’s $5.78 million player option for next season.
Despite the failed talks, recent reports suggest Sochan is still expected to part ways with the Spurs, as he and his representatives have been granted permission to explore trade options with other teams.
Sochan has played 27 games this season, averaging just 13 minutes per game. He is posting 4.3 points and 2.7 rebounds per contest.
